Construction Worker Killed in Las Vegas
The Las Vegas building continues apace, despite the overall construction slowdown. A worker was recently killed in a fall.
A construction worker has died after falling 50 feet while working on a high-rise casino project on the Las Vegas Strip.
Clark County fire spokesman Scott Allison says the man suffered a critical head injury. Allison says the department was called to the site of the Cosmopolitan condominium-casino project at about 9 a.m. Tuesday. Workers told authorities the man was part of a crew lowering a steel support beam on one of the upper floors.
